What is the difference between BOPP film and CPP film?
1. Distinguishing by process
BOPP film is a biaxially stretched (longitudinal and transverse) polypropylene film, and is also a type of polypropylene;
CPP film is a polypropylene (PP) film produced through a cast extrusion process.
2. Distinguish by characteristics
BOPP film has high transparency and gloss, excellent ink and coating adhesion, excellent water vapor and grease barrier properties, and low static electricity properties.
CPP has the characteristics of good transparency, high gloss, good stiffness, good moisture resistance, excellent heat resistance, good barrier properties and mechanical adaptability, and resistance to high temperature cooking and low temperature heat sealing. Coupled with its excellent acid, alkali and grease resistance, it has become the first choice material for bread product packaging or laminate materials. It is safe in contact with food, has excellent demonstration performance, and will not affect the flavor of the food inside. Different grades of resin can be selected to obtain the required properties.
3. Distinguish by use
BOPP film is mainly used for printing, bag making, adhesive tape and lamination with other substrates;
CPP is mainly used in clothing, knitwear and flower packaging bags; document and photo album films; food packaging; and metallized films suitable for barrier packaging and decoration.
